Our guided kayak tours and excursions are a great way to get up-close and personal with Tampa’s unique coastal environment, whether you’re a beginner or experienced kayaker and/or angler. We will kayak through Florida mangrove tunnels, witness local wildlife in their natural habitat and learn about how we can protect and preserve our environment.
TBKA guided kayak tours are for private groups of up to 5 people and can be tailored based on experience level.

On this guided kayak fishing excursion, we will lead your group through one of Tampa’s best fishing spots. Before getting on the water, your guide will provide a quick training to the group. Then, your group and guide will spend 4 hours on the water to relax, fish, and explore our environment.
For ages 12 and up. All children must be accompanied by a paid adult.
PRICE: $135 per person
On this sightseeing tour, a TBKA guide will lead your group through one of Tampa’s scenic waterways, to explore Florida mangroves and learn about local species, habitats and conservation efforts. This tour does not include fishing.
Tandem kayaks available. Ages 5 and up welcome. Must be age 12 and older and be able to paddle on their own for 3 hours to use an individual kayak. All children must be accompanied by a paid adult.

KAYAK FISHING EXCURSION: Yes, children 12 and older are welcome to join our kayak fishing excursions as long as they are able to paddle on their own for the extent of the excursion. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult.
KAYAK SIGHTSEEING TOUR: Yes, children 12 and older are welcome to join the sightseeing tour in their own kayak as long as they are able to paddle on their own for the extent of the excursion. Children 5 and under are welcome to join the paid adult participant for sightseeing on a tandem kayak. If joining with a young child for the sightseeing tour, you only need to purchase 1 excursion package ($65 per kayak | $85 per double kayak).
TBKA kayaking tours and excursions are intended for groups ranging from 1 to 5 anglers. Groups of 3 or more paid participants, get $10 off per person. For larger groups interested in Tampa kayaking tours, please contact us directly.
The current TBKA excursion offerings are all private reservations. Your excursion will consist of your group as well as your guide. Keep in mind, the kayaking locations are open to the public.

Yes, we do offer eco/sightseeing tours along with our fishing excursions. This is a great, family-friendly way to explore the natural beauty of the Tampa Bay area while also getting some exercise and fresh air.
Reservations are required for our kayak tours, and space is limited, especially for larger groups. We recommend making reservations in advance to secure your spot for our Tampa Bay kayaking excursions.
Tampa Bay Kayak Anglers is insured and certified to offer kayak tours in Tampa Bay. Our tour guides are all certified and professionally trained, and our kayaking educator is a level 2 instructor, certified by the American Canoe Association.
All tour guides and instructors are certified in First Aid and CPR. If you’re looking to go kayaking in Tampa, you can trust our experienced guides to lead your tour.
Our kayak tours take place in both fresh and saltwater environments, offering opportunities to see a variety of wildlife. While we cannot make any guarantees, it is not uncommon to see dolphins, manatees, alligators, and a wide variety of shorebirds on our Tampa Bay kayaking tours and excursions.
Yes, but please keep in mind that we always practice environmental stewardship on our tours and ask others to do the same. If you’re going on a Tampa kayak excursion with us, please bring food and drinks in reusable, non-disposable packaging. Please note that alcohol is prohibited on our tours.

Yes, unless you are a Florida resident over the age of 65 or under the age of 16. All participants of our Tampa Kayak Fishing Excursion will need a fishing license. License fees are inexpensive in Florida and easy to obtain. TBKA will provide all the necessary equipment for your Tampa fishing excursion, including a kayak, paddle, PFD (personal flotation device), fishing equipment, and both live and artificial bait.
The Tampa Bay area is home to a wide variety of fish, so the exact species you catch will depend on the time of year and location. Rest assured that our guides will do their best to put you in the best position to catch fish.
