Meet at the Kayak Launching Dock
Discover the beauty of Tampa Bay at a community kayak meet-up to explore Weedon Island and it’s connection to Latino culture in Tampa Bay. All are welcome to join the La Raza Explorers Kayak Paddle Out!
Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a curious beginner, this event is perfect for anyone eager to explore the beauty of Tampa’s kayaking scene. Get out on the water with us for a morning of fun and exploration. Our meetup is an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, share stories, and build lasting friendships within the Tampa kayaking community.
We will explore mangrove tunnels throughout Weedon Island and learn about the island’s connection to the Latino community. Our experienced guides will provide safety briefings and offer tips and tricks to enhance your kayaking skills, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Prior to attending any TBKA events, please complete this free online Paddlesports Safety Course. It takes about 20 minutes, and can be accessed on a mobile device. If needed, you can also save your progress and return to the course at a later time.
